Hot tub health warnings
The Finns and other northern Europeans have been using saunas and hot tub-like treatments for centuries and the health effects are well documented. But accidents do happen. One of the main causes of injury and death is the combination of alcoholic drinks with hot tub use. So - make it a rule to save your drink for after your dip.
Also bear in mind that any tub can pose a danger to children. Always use a lockable safety cover and never leave children alone near an uncovered tub. Make sure your tub conforms to current safety standards. Have it regularly checked and serviced by a professional. Know where the pump cut-off switch is, and inform all other users of its whereabouts. Don't heat your tub above 40 degrees Celsius.
